The 48-hour blockade of BNP has started again from today

In the sixth phase of the ongoing anti-government movement demanding the government’s resignation, the BNP will hold a 48-hour total blockade program on roads, ships and railways from 6 am to 6 am on Friday. Besides, Jamaat-e-Islami has also given a separate 48-hour blockade program.

BNP’s partner in this simultaneous movement, Democracy Forum, 12-Party Alliance, Jatiyatabadi Samana Jota, Democratic Left Unity, LDP, Labor Party and other like-minded parties have also said that they will carry out this 48-hour blockade program separately.

In a virtual press conference yesterday, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the senior joint secretary general of the party called for the implementation of this program and said that the democracy-loving people of Bangladesh are demanding the 1-point demand for the restoration of democracy, the trial of the murder of the killed comrades, the proper treatment of the injured and the release of thousands of arrested leaders and activists across the country and the demand for an end to harassment. We call for a 48-hour continuous total blockade across the country from 6 am to 6 am on Friday. Hopefully, the good sense of the government will emerge and accept the fair demands of the people.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Machum said in a statement yesterday that to save the country, the resignation of the current government, restoration of the caretaker government system and Amir Jamaat Dr. On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami demanding the release of all the arrested leaders and activists including Shafiqur Rahman, I call on all levels of Jamaat-e-Islami’s manpower and patriotic strugglers to carry out the all-out peaceful blockade program from 6 am to 6 am on Friday.
